Vacation housing will also, like hotels, start the tourist season at a slow pace, because few houses or villas will be open during the Easter holiday weekend and occupancy will be low on those dates.

This is what the president of the AVAT association, José Antonio Llano, highlights, who is much more optimistic in his assessment of the upcoming campaign. However, the holiday weekend is coming too soon and the occupancy percentages in the limited supply available will not exceed 30%.

Llano highlights that at the beginning of April the bulk of the nearly 19,000 regulated places will be open. He points out that advance reservations are encouraged and predicts a season similar to that of 2023 or even with better numbers than the previous campaign

From AVAT they once again ask for restraint in price increases. Llano emphasizes that due to inflation there has been an increase in rates. It recognizes that in some cases the increases may be excessive, but the bulk of the supply has not chosen this path.
