Holiday homes in Ibiza have occupied this month 75% of the 19,000 regulated places. An "acceptable" percentage say from the employers of this sector, although they recognize that they expected more. In any case, they highlight that the campaign is going to be extended and that in October the reserves are above the figures for 2019.

The president of the AVAT employers' association, Roberto San Esteban, says that there was a break in reservations in the first weeks of August and this is being noticed this month because the data is "somewhat below what we expected." Above all, says San Esteban because in the central months of the campaign the vacation homes have been "practically full". Where the half-full bottle is seen is in October, with occupancy rates between 65 and 68%.

Sant Esteban affirms that prices have risen this season, with exceptions in which they had reservations from previous years due to the pandemic. On the other side of the scale, in some cases employers have increased their rates twice.

Agrotourism with better figures than in 2019
The agritourism and rural tourism sector has also increased its prices by an average of ten percent, according to José Torres, vice president of the association that brings together this type of offer in Ibiza

Torres assures that the forecasts for the final months of the season are also good and highlights that the occupation in many businesses has been above 2019.
